Kat Volk

Senior Scientist
Planetary Science Institute

Kat VolkCurrent research projects include: developing software to enable easy dynamical characterization of small bodies in the solar system (SBDynT), using observations and theoretical studies of the Kuiper belt to understand the dynamical history of the outer solar system, coupling dynamical studies to observational studies to understand active Centaurs and their transition to the Jupiter family comet population, and exploring the orbital dynamics of the diverse planetary system architectures discovered by the Kepler mission and other exoplanet searches.  I am a member of the Outer Solar System Origins Survey (OSSOS) collaboration and the LSST Solar System Science Collaboration.
